Lake Family Cemetery

The Lake Family Cemetery is located on private property on River Road, Topsfield, MA.  Formerly known as the Stanley family burying ground, it was used by the Stanley and Lake families as early as the latter part of the 1600s.  The oldest inscribed stone is dated 1836. 

 

A gravestone conservation project was undertaken in 2003.  Many gravestones were excavated, cleaned and reset.  Documentation of the project may be viewed in the Topsfield Room at the Topsfield Town Library.
